Summerlin Brunch Options at Hearthstone

It’s easy to love brunch. After all, it’s like the best parts of breakfast and lunch are rolled into one, it doesn’t require an early wake-up time, and alcohol is not only an acceptable but an encouraged accompaniment.

While a classic brunch menu is always delicious, sometimes you simply want to shake things up. At Hearthstone Kitchen and Cellar, while we have a strong showing of brunch classics like pancakes and eggs on our menu, we also have plenty of offerings that are just a little different. Here, we’ll explore some of the slightly unexpected items on our menu! As a bonus, each entry includes a suggestion for the perfect drink pairing, too.

Coconut Cream & Seasonal Fruit Parfait: You’ve undoubtedly sampled a fruit parfait before. But you’ve never tried one like this! We choose the best seasonal fresh fruit, and then combine it with granola and an addictively delicious coconut cream. The coconut cream is satisfying and rich, and makes this healthy dish feel like a real treat.

What to drink with it: Don’t let this parfait be too virtuous! Naught it up a little bit by pairing it with a glass of sparkling wine, or give it a try with our Blackberry Bliss specialty cocktail, made with vodka, blackberry shrub (a type of fruit liqueur), lime, mint, and ginger beer.

Duck & Waffles: You’ve heard of chicken and waffles, but how about duck and waffles? This decadent dish starts with a buttermilk waffle which is topped with crispy duck confit, foie gras butter, and bourbon maple syrup. It’s sweet, salty, rich, and fluffy, making for both a full sensory experience and fully delicious overall dish.

What to drink with it: The In Good Fashion cocktail on our menu has enough sweetness to contrast this dish, and enough bite to make things interesting. It’s made with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon Whiskey, clover honey, and house-made old fashioned bitters.

Donut Bread Pudding French Toast: Just think about the title of this dish. There’s no part of it that’s wrong. Every part of it is so naughty, so rich, so decadent, so right! It’s served with caramelized banana and rum banana maple syrup for extra amazingness. Is amazingness a word? It ought to be, when talking about this dish.

What to drink with it: Try it with our Pimm’s 50, a heady concoction of Belvedere Vodka,  house-made Pimm’s #50, lemon, champagne, and ginger beer. The sweetness will go nicely with the sweetness of this creative French toast offering, but it has a little bit of citrusy zing to add a bit of contrast.

California Benedict: This is not your typical Eggs Benedict! Instead of the classic construction, this version has a California-style makeover. The traditional poached eggs and Hollandaise are accompanied by chicken and avocado, served on tomato portions, and served with breakfast potatoes. You’ll be California dreamin’ after you sample this creative concoction!

What to drink with it: The richness of Hollandaise sauce calls for something with a little citrus brightness. Our Off to the Races cocktail is a great pick: it’s made with Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Bourbon Whiskey, ruby red grapefruit, lemon, and Peychaud’s Bitters.

Loco Moco: You’ll go loco for this addictive dish. Loco moco is a Hawaiian classic; while there are many variations, in its essence it’s a dish composed of rice, a hamburger patty, a fried egg, and gravy. Our version is made with a prime burger, chicken fried rice, a fried egg, and worcestershire gravy. You’ve never tasted anything like it!

What to drink with it: Enjoy this creative brunch offering with our Red Rock Sunset cocktail, which is made with Absolut Elyx Vodka, Aperol, Orgeat, Stiegl Grapefruit, and Scrappy’s Grapefruit Bitters. The brightness of the cocktail makes the perfect contrast to the richness of the dish.

Don’t worry, we have the classics too

Sometimes you want to try something creative and different; other times you just want your old familiar favorites. Don’t worry; at Hearthstone, we offer not only the aforementioned creative dishes but plenty of standard brunch classics as well.

For lovers of a classic egg breakfast, we have items like our Build your Own 3 Egg Omelette. You get to choose from a variety of mix-ins, including bacon, peppers, american cheese, mushrooms, spinach, chicken sausage, ham, and onions, and it’s served with breakfast potatoes and toast.

For those who love an indulgent dish, we have our classic Eggs Benedict. It starts with English muffin halves, which are topped with ham, poached eggs, and a healthy dose of Hollandaise; it comes complete with breakfast potatoes on the side.

For the sweet tooths of the world, we offer our famous Warm Sticky Bun, which is generously iced with cream cheese frosting.
